There is a present need in the education market for strong Augmented Reality in the math and science areas using smart glasses. Presently CARE is the only company located in New Jersey developing standards based AR content using tablets. A need exists to port those hundreds of lessons over to the Moverios. The investment from Epson would be used to develop the AR capability in the Moverios.

How it works

CARE is presently leading the market in providing and marketing standards-based lesson, curriculum material, and motivating content to schools and districts. CARE along with Daqri is the only company providing augmented reality curriculum in the Education market. However, their content and AR capabilities do not work on the Moverios. EduGlasses would use the funds to make this a reality. Learners will quickly move from holding a smart phone and tablet in front of an image and user Moverios instead. The vision would be to have Glass Carts to support classroom curriculum. Other benefits to the school are: • Extensive and research-based augmented reality curriculum content • Ability to interface augmented reality with affordable Moverios • Hands-free augmented reality without the need for smart phones or tablets • Ability to carry on hands-free lab experiments while doing AR observations • Addition of an enhanced virtual world for learners as they walk around and into objects The funds would help us develop the capability of the Moverios to use the CARE content.
