Inspiration

I find out that most immigrants struggle to file for TPS papers. Having some casual conversation with my Venezuelan friends I noticed most of them did not know when the TPS deadline came or how did they needed to apply for it. I want to make it accesible for people to know how to apply, when to apply, and where to apply

What it does

Delivers guides to users looking to find residency in the US. It’s focused in helping immigrants navigate government pages to file for TPS or any other online form.

How we built it

We built it using Velo by WIX. Sometimes it’s hard to make a web page and the time is very limited but we wanted the main idea to he solid in order to develop it further in the future.

Challenges we ran into

Time could be the most challenging. Since we had to plan a project that could impact a great amount of people in the short amount of time. I personally don’t have much of experience in web development but find it manageable to finish a website with Velo.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

That in the process we actually learned the struggle some people can face when trying to file a documents for the government. It can be a very frustrating process to complete and very intimidating.

What we learned

That there are a lot of resources that help people with information about US documents. I just wanted to gather them in one place so people don’t have to search for them.

What's next for USImmigrationGuide

I want to finish the project once I find the time, I’m really Invested in having a web that can actually impact a big or small amount of people.
