What's next for USF Global Office Queue
Our inspiration for the project was the over-complicated process of checking into the USF Global Student Hub for both students and advisors. When the front desk attendant checks a student in, the attendant has to contact the advisor which can often lead to miscommunications, or the student being lost in the chat. This dashboard adds a real-time queue that both students and advisors can view, while sorting each student into their dedicated category of why they need to see an advisor. We built this dashboard using TypeScript, a React frontend framework, Tailwind CSS for the styling, and Google Gemini to assist with the planning and implementation of various features. We learned how to use TypeScript, as well as React to add a frontend framework as well as how to use Tailwind to style our UI/UX.
