Inspiration

I wanted to do some user testing of a website, but I could not afford the rates that existing services charged. So I decided to create my own.

What it does

UserBob recruits users to try out your app or website and record a video of their experience. Then you can watch these videos to get a better understanding of what real people think of your creation.

How I built it

It uses Amazon's mechanical turk service to post the tests to available users. Our tasks pay better than the majority of tasks on mturk so users are eager to complete them.

Challenges I ran into

Building the service was the easy part. Marketing it is the hard part.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I'm very proud that I have created another source of income for the workers on mturk that they find rewarding.
