User Interface
User Interface (UI) Design focuses on anticipating what users might need to do and ensuring that the interface has elements that are easy to access, understand, and use to facilitate those actions. UI brings together concepts from interaction design, visual design, and information architecture. User interaction (UI) designers are primarily concerned with how a user navigates through a digital product. User interaction design is considered a UX function, so you will often see UI/UX used interchangeably in job titles and job descriptions, or it may fall under the responsibility of a product designer. The growing dependence of many businesses on web applications and mobile applications has led many companies to place increased priority on UI in an effort to improve the user's overall experience.
The various types of user interfaces include:
1)Graphical user interface (GUI) 2)Command line interface (CLI) 3)Menu-driven user interface 4)Touch user interface 5)Voice user interface (VUI) 6)Form-based user interface 7)Natural language user interface
UI is often considered same as UX design but it is not. UI design is more concerned with the surface and overall feel of a design. UI design is a craft where you the designer build an essential part of the user experience. UX design covers the entire spectrum of the user experience. One analogy is to picture UX design as a car with UI design as the driving console. For developing the UI,we can use softwares like Sketch,Adobe XD,InVision Studio,Figma and other softwares. Also when an interface is well designed, it becomes a seamless experience unnoticeable to the user. But a poorly designed interface means users cannot complete their task flow. Some principles to be followed for developing UI that is minimize cognitive load, consistency in flow of UI and also keep a clarity over complexity.
