After 5-7 times, fibers are disposed of in landfills. What if we found a solution to "use the unused" through an innovative service that can impact people, products, the planet, and profit for IP.
We wanted to find a way to use what was thrown away. We feel like there was a greater purpose to combine and create an innovative and practical service that can be used from a large-company scale to a small-company scale through International Paper.
What it does
This service will help "use the unused" from the discards/remains of the fibers before they are thrown out and help bring it into a full circle that can be implemented/used, again and again, helping IP's goal for Vision 2030 in Renewable Solutions to have a more advanced circular solution through their value chain to make sure products are 100% reusable, recyclable, and or compostable.
How we built it
Through research from articles on IP's website and videos from their competitors, we brainstormed ways we could use a product from HP to help make molded fibers and create environmentally friendly products.
Challenges we ran into
One of our challenges may have to be time, but we wanted to project the possibility of an application that can have a customer customize an IP product to build a competitive advantage as a company.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The amount of creativity and work each member of our team put in has been phenomenal! No matter the outcome, we built a better bond with each other and learned about something new in a topic we weren't familiar in!
