Inspiration
I had the BME280 sensor collecting dust at home and I wanted to do something useful with it :)
What it does
Records temp, humidity, stores them in a database and allows the user to view the data in a dashboard
How we built it
esp32 + BME280 + Arduino + PlatformIO + a dedicated router for the hardware side of things
Postgresql + react + ruby on rails for the server side stuff
Challenges we ran into
- mostly front end stuff
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- the project actually works
What we learned
- how to post data with esp32
- expanded front end dev skills
What's next for Usagi Weather
Built With
- arduino
- bootstrap
- esp32
- platformio
- postgresql
- react
- ruby
