US Accidents - Visualization using Microstrategy

Inquisitive about the causes of accidents happening across the US states for the recent years. Also Apple Watch.

What it does

Provides detail insights about factors causing accidents viz. Location, Time, Weather Condition, Severity, Wind Direction using MicroStrategy Desktop Visualization tool

How we built it

We used MicroStrategy Desktop Visualization tool to build these visualization

Challenges we ran into

• This was our 1st time we used MicroStrategy Desktop Visualization tool for visualizing dataset, the interface was completely new to us. Initially we took some time getting familiar with the functionality but once we got hold of the interface it was very handy to use, also it helped us digging deeper into dataset.
  

Accomplishments that we're proud of

• Designed dashboard that shows interactive relative distribution of various causes of accidents across US with respect to the years and state.

What we learned

• We learned how we can use MicroStrategy Desktop Visualization tool to build impactful visualizations.

What's next for US Accidents - Visualization using MicroStrategy

• We plan to design customized templates for visualization that can help to show animation in real time.
