Inspiration
After many different ideas we landed on what may have been the most simple yet impactful of them: something to help local businesses. Because local businesses are an important part of the economy and our society, and yet they do not have access to the same capabilities as large corporations, we aimed to address this though Urban Mind Analytics.
What it does
Allows you to effortlessly input your business data, and in return, receive a personalized profile report that unveils hidden insights about your operations, customer behavior, and market trends. We're pioneering the fusion of data and intelligence through our cutting-edge machine learning models. With our custom-built algorithms, you'll gain access to a predictive powerhouse that forecasts trends, identifies growth opportunities, and guides you towards making informed and strategic decisions
How we built it
We built the project using Python, with the front end being primarily Streamlit, and the back end and functioning done using libraries such as Pandas and Pycaret, amongst others.
Challenges we ran into
The main challenge for us was coming up with a suitable idea because the theme is so broad.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of how much we were able to get done in the time that we had. Because we found out about the hackathon much later, we were pressed on time, and so we are proud of the progress we made given the time restraint.
What we learned
We learned more about ML libraries such as Pycaret and Pandas, and how to incorporate them into a cohesive project.
What's next for Urban Mind Analytics
Next we plan on possibly experimenting and getting feedback from some business owners in our area.
