Inspiration

Urban Culture Flow was inspired by the creativity of everyday influencers who transform simple moments into expressive art. The idea came from wanting to elevate a natural dance performance using only accessible mobile tools—showcasing how emerging creators can produce high-impact visuals with minimal resources. The goal was to keep the performance authentic while adding a modern, polished feel suitable for TikTok and short-form platforms.

What it does

Urban Culture Flow highlights a smooth, expressive dance performance synced to English-language music, enhanced with clean visual edits that make the clip more engaging and shareable. The project focuses on rhythm, presence, and stylistic editing—capturing an influencer’s natural energy while adding a refined touch.

How we built it

The entire project was created using only CapCut, following a simple mobile-friendly workflow: Recorded a natural dance performance using a phone camera. Experimented with different AI tools—including Freepik—but due to access and credit limitations we continued entirely within CapCut. Exported the final version optimized for TikTok’s vertical format.

Challenges we ran into

We originally planned to use tools like Freepik for AI visual layering, but access restrictions and credit limitations prevented full use of those platforms. Ensuring the edits enhanced the performance without distracting from the dance. Working within a mobile-only editing environment and keeping everything smooth. Matching pacing and movement to the rhythm while keeping the workflow lightweight. Maximizing quality despite simple lighting and a limited shooting environment.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Creating a clean, polished dance clip using only CapCut and a phone camera. Demonstrating how an emerging influencer can deliver strong content without expensive tools. Achieving a professional look through careful timing, editing choices, and attention to detail. Pivoting effectively when external AI tools were unavailable and still delivering a strong final piece.

What we learned

Mobile editing tools can be extremely powerful when used with intention and creativity. Strong pacing and rhythmic syncing can elevate even simple footage into compelling content. Flexibility is important—sometimes the initial plan changes, and you must work with what you have. Even without advanced AI tools, you can still produce competition-ready short-form content.

What's next for Urban Culture Flow

Revisit AI platforms like Freepik and others once proper access is available. Experiment with adding AI-generated environments and transitions in future content. Develop more influencer-focused videos with polished, dance-driven themes. Build Urban Culture Flow into a recognizable style and creative identity for the creator.
