Inspiration: Lack of localized data about the various neighborhoods in New York City
What it does: It takes in data pertaining to temperature, humidity, air quality, noise levels, and vibrations. Which would then me exported over wireless connections to a central database.
How we built it: Connected various sensors to an ESP to then get data output from the serial monitor. Which was the housed in a 3D printed case.
Challenges we ran into: Large amount of time allocated to troubleshooting sensors and circuits
Accomplishments that we're proud of: Able to get prototype functional and in a small/concise form factor.
What we learned: how to use ESP and how it differs from Arduino. As well as how to operate multiple sensors in tandem.
What's next for Urban Life Monitoring System: We will continue to improve upon the design and concept as we feel that it may be promising.
