Coming from Metropolitan and Micropolitan areas ourselves, our group has observed diversity changes within our growing communities.
What it does
Our project explores diversity patterns within Metropolitan and Micropolitan America while placing emphasis on the areas with greatest diversity changes.
How we built it
We utilized R, Tableau, and empirical research to shape and build our project.
Challenges we ran into
The main challenge we faced was narrowing down our project scope. With the vast amount of data we were presented with, we initially struggled to focus on one problem statement.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud of the visualizations we created to tell a story of the dataset we explored. We believe that our visuals provide a comprehensive insight to the diversity patterns in Metropolitan and Micropolitan America.
What we learned
We learned that problem solving is an iterative process. We found ourselves exploring various approaches to find and solve our problem, building our grit and tenacity of the topic.
