Inspiration

Cities generate 2.5 quintillion bytes of data daily, but urban managers are flying blind. We wanted to create an AI-powered system that transforms urban chaos into actionable intelligence, helping cities reduce traffic by 25% and improve coordination by 40%.

What it does

Urban Intelligence Dashboard provides real-time AI analysis of city conditions with voice commands, Google Maps integration, and automated reporting. Users can say "London" to instantly analyze traffic, weather, events, and air quality. The system generates PDF reports and sends WhatsApp updates to city managers automatically.

How we built it

Frontend: Vanilla JavaScript with Vite for performance APIs: 9 real-time integrations (Google Maps, OpenAI GPT-4, Weather, Traffic, Events) AI: OpenAI for intelligent analysis with confidence levels Voice: ElevenLabs + Web Speech API for global voice commands Reports: jsPDF generation with WhatsApp automation via Twilio

Challenges we ran into

API CORS restrictions in WebContainer environment - solved with intelligent fallback systems Real-time data synchronization across 9 different APIs with varying response times Voice recognition accuracy across different accents and languages Google Maps API key restrictions - created comprehensive fallback mode
