Inspiration

At the beginning of the hackathon, one of our team members needed to use the bathroom but wasn’t sure where it was. This simple thought — "I wish I had a map for this" — quickly sparked the idea that became our project.

What it does

Our website provides a comprehensive map of all the bathrooms in each building, complete with user ratings and key details like gender designation and accessibility features.

How we built it

We built the website using a combination of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create a responsive and user-friendly interface.

Challenges we ran into

Cross-browser Compatibility: Ensuring the website worked seamlessly across different browsers and devices. We used responsive design techniques and tested the site on multiple browsers and devices to make sure it looked and worked well everywhere.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We turned a small, everyday inconvenience into a useful and practical tool. What started as a passing thought — "I wish I had a map for this" — quickly evolved into a fully functional website that solves a real-world problem.

Our focus on creating a simple, intuitive, and accessible user interface ensures that the website is easy for everyone to use, regardless of technical skill or experience.

What we learned

A simple idea can evolve into something impactful when approached with creativity. Focusing on the needs of the user — in this case, making it easy to find bathrooms with relevant details — was key to the project’s success. Our teamwork and flexibility allowed us to adapt quickly, overcome challenges, and bring the idea to life within the hackathon's tight timeframe.
