Upside Down: Portal Pulse is an immersive, browser-based horror simulation inspired by the Stranger Things universe. The application leverages real-time audio-visual feedback, hardware-simulated "heartbeat" mechanics, and Augmented Reality (AR) concepts to create a high-tension survival experience. Players must navigate a radar-based defense system, engage in tactical combat against Demogorgons, and survive psychological encounters with Vecna to find a way back to reality.

Core Gameplay Mechanics The Pulse Radar: A biological tracking system that monitors nearby threats. Players watch a "blip" move from the periphery toward the center. If the blip reaches the center, a combat encounter is triggered.

Tactical Combat: When a monster strikes, players must react instantly using a selection of lore-accurate weapons:

Flamethrower: High-intensity heat to drive back the beast.

Gun: Traditional ballistic defense.

Sound: Utilizing high-frequency audio to exploit the creature's sensitivity.

Dynamic Heartbeat Engine: The UI features a live BPM (Beats Per Minute) counter that fluctuates based on the game state. During calm periods, it stays steady; during combat or "Panic" mode, the BPM spikes, accompanied by rhythmic audio pulses that increase player anxiety.

The Vecna Cutscene: A randomized "Master" event where the UI blacks out, the heartbeat flatlines, and a chilling white-text message fades into view. This event is synchronized with a dedicated audio track (now.mp3), signaling the arrival of the simulation's ultimate threat.

AR Portal Escape: After surviving the onslaught, players use their device's camera to "Search for the Portal." The app uses a live camera feed to simulate the search, culminating in the discovery of a rift that allows the player to escape the Upside Down.
