Inspiration
Inspired by our bad posture
What it does
Fixes the user's posture by activating buzzers placed on the wearable strap whenever a user has bad posture (leans too far right, left, forwards, or backwards)
How we built it
NodeMCU, Gyroscope, Flex Sensors, Buzzers -> all soldered on to a perf board
Challenges we ran into
Sending the data to blynk gave us a headache for a while until we decided to switch to the legacy app, which works much smoother
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Our product's practicality and ability to be expanded upon
What we learned
How flex sensors work and calculate data, working with bylnk
What's next for UpRight
Create a new clothing line of tech-inspired clothing that has sensors built into various parts of the fabric (basically, IOT-based clothing) -> could be used for working out and checking your heart rate, calories burned, etc, or for medical purposes, such as checking for heart attacks, blood-sugar level detectors, assistive clothing for people with arthritis,...
