Inspiration

The inspiration behind this project was the need for a simple tool to help people stay organized by keeping track of upcoming public holidays. Whether planning vacations or managing work schedules, knowing the holidays in advance can be incredibly helpful.

What it does

The project shows a list of upcoming holidays by country, with brief descriptions. This helps users plan around national holidays.

How we built it

We used a holiday API to fetch data by country. The backend retrieves holiday info, and the frontend displays it in a clear format.

Challenges we ran into

As our first hackathon, it was challenging to choose an idea and define the project scope. Figuring out the concept took time, but we learned a lot.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We have created a functional tool with accurate holiday information. Completing our first hackathon project was a big achievement.

What we learned

We learned about project scoping, API integration, and managing dates across countries. Working under time pressure was a valuable experience.

What's next for Untitled

Next, we want to add features like holiday reminders and regional holidays to make the tool even more helpful.
