Inspiration

My summer has pretty much been about hackathons! One difficulty I faced was that being super lazy, I would not regularly check websites for hackathons so ended up missing some of them. The main inspiration was to remind the fellow hackers about incoming hackathons by date so that they could prep themselves up in advance.

What it does

  1. Opens up the MLH website
  2. Scrapes the upcoming hackathon list.
  3. Selects the latest 10 hackathons
  4. Stores to a notepad file
  5. Sends the data as a reminder email to hackers.

How I built it

I built it entirely using UIPath.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I was able to achieve all this in a day. This was my first time working with UIPath and I am happy I was able to accomplish my desired goal.

What's next for Upcoming MLH Hackathon Reminder

Scraping data from other hackathon websites apart from MLH.
