uPath

Inspiration

Learning a new hobby is an endless, multimodal journey. *uPath looks to structure your journey and offers a one-stop place to view your growth through this tireless search for knowledge

What it does

uPath aims to leverage Google's Built Prompt API to give you a step-by-step process so you never feel overwhelmed when starting a new topic! With a simple prompt and a few seconds of your time, you commit to a new story that begins on a simple press of a button.

How we built it

We built uPath with ReactJS for a responsive UX, TailwindCSS for a sleek UI, ExpressJS for the backend using Firebase for both authentication and user roadmap storage. Ultimately, using Google's Prompt API to connect all these utilities.

Challenges we ran into

My main challenge was storing and providing consistency to Google's Prompt-AI responses and incorporating such a multimodal product. Using Firebase, React, and Express to handle all the ports for communication.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud of this project and of uPath as a whole. This project got me to make a full end-to-end project and accomplish an idea to guide people from the beginning to flourishing heights.

What we learned

I learned how to design, plan, and implement an idea from a blank text document to something that can be reproduced and enjoyed. I learned to use Firestore, Firebase authentication, and React Router, deepened my knowledge of ExpressJS, and understood what it takes to combine everything I know to turn an idea into execution.
