Inspiration
It sometimes takes years to find a program that is affordable or a fully-funded scholarship especially if you're an international student.
What it does
The website has links for scholarships and cheap universities and/or summer programs from a variety of countries for students to check out and choose from.
How we built it
We built it with HTML/JavaScript and CSS
Challenges we ran into
Putting all the information we gathered into a presentable looking website in such a short time and with different timezones
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud to have put everything we could find in an easily navigated website that will hopefully help another student in the future. Communicating with team members clearly and managing our time is also another accomplishment we're proud of because we had a huge time zone conflict.
What we learned
We learned that time management is an important factor when you're working with a team on a multiple parts project. Also learned the importance of teamwork and collaboration.
What's next for UP UP and Away
We plan to add a contribution page where our target users can share and submit opportunities that others can benefit from. Adding more countries and resources is another goal we hope to work on in the future. We also plan on partnering with organizations that support and empower international students through an educational program or resource. Because here at "up up and away", we believe education is the most important thing you can give to someone.
