Inspiration
Seeing students struggle with D2L, finances, and academic stress inspired us to build something that makes daily life at UCalgary easier. Inspired by own uni life and reddit sources and the pretty designs of advent calenders.
What it does
The app simplifies course organization, offers budgeting tools, and provides academic resources and student advice to reduce stress.
How we built it
We gathered student feedback, researched common issues, and designed an intuitive interface focused on clarity, accessibility, and ease of use.
Challenges we ran into
Finding the right balance of features, organizing reliable resources, and keeping everything simple without losing functionality.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Creating a supportive tool that directly helps students navigate real challenges and feel more confident in their university life.
What we learned
We learned how meaningful good design, clear navigation, and community-driven resources are for supporting stressed students.
What's next for UofC Life
Expanding course resources, adding community features, integrating more campus services, and continuing to refine the user experience.
