Inspiration
Being a Product Marketing Manager at Google/ YouTube for 2 years and having the experience of leading ads marketing at Google Taiwan, I have realized there's a constant discussion of how a branding-driven company can lean more into performance and how a performance-driven company can lean more into branding when it comes to marketing. It seems that there's a huge opportunity to close the gap if there is a platform that can lean on both sides and provide the most relative information a customer wants.
In the meantime as a very old Gen Z or a very young Gen Y who is digital native and familiar with online shopping, I find out that most of the e-commerce nowadays are still the same as what it was years ago. It didn't follow suit with what the booming social/ video trends are and there is constant discussion of how to e-commerce being "too traditional" especially in the fashion sector.
My brother, Calvin Chin, who happens to be a fashion designer and aspiring to start his own fashion brand as an entrepreneur also notices the need of revolutionize the industry and we decide to work together with our insights and the story beings!
