Inspiration

A big part of the next step in Dubai's journey to improve its economy is to focus more on the tourism sector. This means any innovation in this field will be a big step towards that goal.

What it does

DubaiXP creates a new experience for onsite visitors and people from home who cannot visit the beautiful landmarks in Dubai by using mixed reality.

Challenges we ran into

Making the idea feasible, finding a suitable monetization method that is not intrusive to the user but also improves the local economy.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Making a system that allows users to support local NFT artists by buying them on the storefront.

What we learned

Tourism is a very important sector in Dubai and there is much more room for innovation and improvement. Our application may end up being one of the stepping stones in improving this sector.

What's next for DubaiXP

Improvement in mixed realty technology means improvement in DubaiXP, if the technology becomes available then addition of sensors that allow users to feel with other sensory organs will be implemented that makes it more immersive.
