With mental health becoming a greater issue that needs more attention, it can be hard for struggling individuals to find a calm space and the resources they need. We created Untangled to help these individuals cope with their mental illness and we designed it so it is convenient and easily accessible 24/7.
What it does
Untangled is a website filled with numerous stress-relieving and self-exploration activities to reduce anxiety and stress. The activities includes:
- Daily Journaling
- Daily Reminders
- Gratitude Journal
Firstly, the daily journaling allows users to reflect on their day and let out their emotions. Next, the daily reminders help users to build healthy habits in their life. The gratitude journal helps users to take their time and appreciate the small things in life. We offer a game activity to create enjoyable entertainment for users. Last but not least, we provide various community resources for users to be able to reach out and get the help they need.

Challenges we ran into
In the beginning, we struggled with deciding what problem we wanted to focus on but we chose to tackle mental health as we are both passionate about the topic. As beginner programmers, it was hard to figure out where to start with our website and how we wanted it to be structured. We had to figure out how we’re going to create a calm space for users and what we have to include in our site.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were proud to be able to code out all the activities we wanted to make. We hope that this can be a helpful tool for those looking for ways to untangle their stress and anxiety.
