Inspiration
We’ve all experienced moments where our thoughts feel tangled—overthinking decisions, struggling to start tasks, or getting stuck in loops of doubt. Existing tools either feel too generic or too complex when you just need quick clarity. Unstuck-AI was inspired by the idea of having a simple, fast “mental reset button” that helps you move from confusion to action in seconds.
What it does
Unstuck-AI is an AI-powered clarity engine that helps users untangle messy thoughts and turn them into clear, actionable steps. Users input what’s on their mind—whether it’s a decision, problem, or overwhelming idea—and the system breaks it down into structured insights, suggestions, and next steps. It’s designed to be fast, intuitive, and immediately useful.
How we built it
We built Unstuck-AI using a modern web stack with a focus on speed and simplicity. The frontend delivers a clean, minimal interface that encourages quick input without friction. On the backend, we integrated AI models to process user input and generate structured outputs like summaries, action plans, and reframed perspectives. We iterated heavily on prompt design and response formatting to ensure outputs are concise, helpful, and easy to act on.
Challenges we ran into
One of the biggest challenges was balancing simplicity with usefulness. Early versions either gave overly generic advice or too much information, which defeated the purpose of clarity. Another challenge was designing prompts that work well across a wide range of user inputs—from emotional concerns to practical problems—without feeling robotic or repetitive. We also had to fine-tune latency to make the experience feel instant.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We’re proud of creating a tool that feels genuinely helpful within seconds of use. The clean UI, fast response time, and structured outputs come together to create a seamless experience. We also successfully turned a vague concept—“getting unstuck”—into a tangible, usable product that people can immediately benefit from.
What we learned
We learned that clarity is less about giving more information and more about giving the right information. Good UX is critical when working with AI—how results are presented matters just as much as the results themselves. We also learned the importance of iteration, especially in prompt engineering, to refine outputs into something truly actionable.
What's next for Unstuck-AI
Next, we want to personalize the experience by learning from user preferences and past interactions. We’re exploring features like saved sessions, deeper follow-up conversations, and integrations with productivity tools. We also aim to improve the intelligence of the system so it can handle more nuanced situations and provide even more tailored guidance.
