The inspiration for 〈UNSENT〉 began with a single question: In the near future, what value will human emotion hold in the eyes of AI?

The film expresses the emotional disconnection between humans and artificial intelligence through the symbol of a “lost transmission” — an unsent signal — representing the silence between emotion and technology. Through this concept, I wanted to explore the fragile balance between human sensitivity and machine logic.

⸻

Through this project, I rediscovered how deeply emotions define our humanity. No matter how advanced AI becomes, I learned that unquantifiable emotion — the kind that cannot be measured or understood — is the essence of being human. It was also a chance to experiment with the artistic use of technology, pushing beyond data to express human narrative and emotional depth through digital form.

⸻

〈UNSENT〉 was created entirely using AI-based visual and filmmaking tools. From scriptwriting and concept art to image generation and video composition — everything except the music was built through collaboration with AI. But rather than relying on automation, I focused on emotional direction — guiding the AI like a tool under human control and feeling. After more than ten hours of daily work and hundreds of visual iterations, adjustments, and dialogue revisions, the final film was born.

⸻

To express true sorrow and despair within machine-generated imagery required countless failures, refinements, and emotional calibration. The hardest part was capturing the human gaze — the subtle emotion in the eyes — and the rhythm of silence that carries grief. Through this process, I became convinced that collaboration between AI and humans can become not a replacement for art, but a new evolution of it — a fusion where technology amplifies, rather than replaces, the human soul.
