Inspiration

It all started with a quote from Rick Rubin. He said, “Vibe coding is the Punk Rock of coding.” That hit me hard. Punk rock was all about lowering the barrier: 3 chords and you had a band. Today, it’s 3 lines of prompt and you’ve got an app. That spirit lit the fuse.

We're drowning in AI-generated content. Everyone’s making more, faster. But no one’s helping us understand or simplify it. That’s where unrav.io comes in. It’s punk. It’s personal. It rebels against information overload by putting the power back in the hands of the user.

What it does

Unrav.io lets anyone reshape the internet in real time.

  • Summarize a page.
  • Reformat it.
  • Chat with it.
  • Visualize it.
  • Simplify it.

All in one click, right on the page you're reading.

It’s like having an AI-powered lens that adapts the web to your brain, not the other way around.

How we built it

We built unrav.io as a bookmarklet powered by AI APIs. It injects a lightweight code on any site and allows users to interact with its content contextually, no copy/pasting. The backend is minimal, the vibe is maximal. Everything was "vibe-coded" during the hackathon with speed, intuition, and just enough chaos to keep it fun.

Challenges we ran into

  • Injecting scripts into modern websites without breaking layouts was messy.
  • Balancing UX simplicity with AI flexibility was harder than expected.
  • Keeping the tool lightweight and fast while handling full-page content dynamically took some creative thinking.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • We created a fully working prototype in just a few weeks.
  • It’s clean, fast, and already feels useful.
  • We stuck to the punk mindset, quick to test, fearless about pushing boundaries.

What we learned

  • Simple wins.
  • A rough idea, executed fast, beats a polished idea stuck in a notebook.
  • People don’t want more content, they want clarity. That’s a big shift.

What's next for unrav.io: Make complex simple again

We’re expanding unrav.io into a full platform. Next steps:

  • Let users set their “preferred web style” (e.g., casual, visual, bullet-pointed).
  • Support more AI transformations like “explain like I’m 5,” “turn into checklist,” or “make it poetic.”
  • Create a community for people to create and share lenses.
  • Offer blogs/publications a simple way (couple lines of code) to allow hyper-personalization to their content and therefore maximizing the engagement of their readers.

The web is too complex. unrav.io is here to rip the noise apart and stitch it back in your own style. Make complex simple again.
