Inspiration
Digital forensics faces challenges such as the overwhelming volume and diversity of data, making evidence collection and analysis time-intensive and complex. Rapidly evolving technologies, including encryption and anti-forensics, often outpace investigators’ tools and expertise. Additionally, legal hurdles like cross-border jurisdiction and privacy laws further complicate the process, while the lack of standardized training exacerbates inconsistencies in forensic practices.
What it does
Our project is an AI-powered IDE designed to revolutionize digital forensics by streamlining workflows and empowering reverse engineers with advanced tools. We've integrated features like automated evidence analysis, intelligent code assistance, and collaborative capabilities to address challenges such as data complexity and skill gaps. By combining AI-driven efficiency with forensic expertise, our platform simplifies investigations while maintaining accuracy and security.
How we built it
We built our project using MongoDB for database management, Clerk for user authentication, and a full-stack setup with React, Vite, and Express to ensure a fast and efficient development process. We integrated Ngrok for secure tunneling during local development and utilized the Gemini API to enhance AI-driven functionalities. This combination allowed us to create a scalable, responsive, and feature-rich platform tailored for digital forensics workflows.
Challenges we ran into
It was all of our first times using mongodb, so it was pretty challenging to sync with clerk
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We attempted a pretty ambitious project, which we ended up actually finishing and deploying.
