Making of Unmask was not at all easy, definitely not as a Solo developer. It all started with a prototype using lovable which was fine, then antigravity kicked in after a couple of deletions and jumps from different tools , I finalized the frontend and then started Supabase setup which had a fair amount of friction. It was then time to run the App which gave me nightmares. Multiple components failed, some did not respond, others didn't even care to show up. I tried a lot of stuff but it didn’t work in this process. Supabase was the most confusing to me! I deleted the entire project and then started fresh. Focused on Supabase completely, watch tutorials , read stuff then it all started to relate a little bit , I opened cursor and locked in spent days connecting frontend and backend understand schema , sql , API keys and what not, Divided the project into phases tested each one of them after their development , at last it all paid off! Unmask was born! This time nothing was acting, Supabase registered users correctly And the app was responsive , After a couple of design changes I wrapped up the development and started testing it. Although there were many problems to point out, I am happy with it and I may improvise if I get a chance in future! Even if I do not win this hackathon I have learned many priceless and valuable things that I hope to never forget!
