Unmask

Inspiration

We were inspired by 2 WSJ articles published earlier last week talking about how home wi-fi's were hacked using smart home devices allowing hackers to use the trusted IP address to start attacks on companies.

What it does

Our engine detects ResProxy network attacks by analyzing patterns across requests rather than blocking individual IP addresses.

How we built it

We used Claude to help us code a prototype that shows the functionality of our engine.

Challenges we ran into

We had trouble solidifying our idea and finding what makes us stick out in the market.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we were able to identify a unique current major issue.

What we learned

We learned about the large amount of cyber risk faced by small businesses and start-ups.

What's next for Unmask

We plan to add more features to Unmask, including features that protect data while connect to a remote employee's residential network, and working to identify current threats and increase the security for future customers of the company for a price that's affordable for small businesses and start-ups.
