Inspiration

We wanted to come up with something that does social good.

What it does

A desktop application that allows the user to schedule potlucks, exchange food, and share recipes.

How we built it

The backend was written in Java that connected to a MySQL database. The frontend was written in Rust with Cargo.

Challenges we ran into

Setting up docker containers, and problems with the SQL queries.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We got a large part of the server created .

What we learned

We learned about how to create Java APIs.

What's next for Unlonely Meals

The project wasn't finished and the application could be finished so we can add all of the features we wanted.
