Inspiration
Kyle and I both had Game Design in Richard Robinette's class in 2014. We learned a lot from him and thought we should share just some of the things that he taught.
What it does
It's a fairly simple code, but it has a fully working environment and contains signs that explain most of the features within Unity.
How we built it
We took a lot of objects open on the internet and placed it in the world. The Unity webpage was a great resource for looking at a lot of the useful functions. We built code in C# and made all the designs in GIMP.
Challenges we ran into
We had to give up on making adding a physics component for the cloth because it would keep falling. We tried adding invisible objects to hold it up, but then that would just make the cloth fly away.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The added assets had no trouble of being compatible with the environment. In addition, the Look At code, the main code of our project, was done quickly and efficiently.
What we learned
Since this was mostly a review for us from Game Design, we mostly just learned how to apply these objects to a different environment. We also learned how to make most of this from scratch, without the help of tutorial videos.
What's next for Unity Object Tutorial
Adding more objects have description on them would be a cool thing to add. In addition, it would be great to make the signs more visually appealing.
