Inspiration

Current and past foster youth have following issues:

Do not always have a permanent location/home
Lack of immediate access to critical documents
County backlogged - Approximately 6 months wait time for records. Could be longer if county records are needed.
Can miss opportunities for required documents such as school enrollment, employment, housing, etc.

Worked on developing a simple UI based on our conversations and understanding of their problem and the primary audience of users.
Using Photoshop, created some mock ups of the critical steps in creating, editing and augmenting a client's briefcase.
The team was not able to build out the complete stack based on a very robust backend system, however, using a 3rd party tool (Airtable) I was able to construct a simple and easy to use Airtable base that would allow the case managers to easily create records for each client, along with all the requirements for documents and images.
I learned a lot about the importance of keeping the scope small enough to complete within a short window.
