  9. What is the problem you are trying to solve? Current ambulance dispatch services operate independently of one another. This creates a significant delay in response time of emergency medical personnel to the scene of an incident. Other medically trained personally, not employed with an ambulance service, may be metres away from an incident of which they are unware. We are trying to minimize the vital delay in ambulance dispatch and empower local medical personal to become first responders to the scene of an incident.

  10. What is the solution? The solution is a unified ambulance management system and a network of medically trained first responders.

  11. Why will this solution be effective? The first 20-30 minutes of a medical emergency are the most vital in critical situations. Current emergency response times exceed this vital time. By responding to emergencies in a significantly shorter time period, we will be effectively saving lives.

  12. Describe your technology and protoype? A central dispatch service will efficiently dispatch the closest available ambulance to the scene of an incident whilst providing real time traffic routing options. Five of the geographically closest first responders to the scene of an incident will be alerted and asked to respond. First responders immediately arrive at the scene to stabilize the situation and provide updates to the ambulance crew.
