Uniswap V3 deployment on RSK

Inspiration

In fact, I watched all the interview over the first 2 days and liked merged mining mechanism of Rootstock sidechain and convenience of EVM compatibility. Porting a dApp there felt like a good project to me.

What it does

Allows to swap tokens on Rootstock blockchain. Draws attention to RSK of already large Uniswap userbase.

How we built it

Initially it was not very clear what exactly needs to be done, but eventually I found a good guide summarizing required work. https://github.com/Uniswap/v3-new-chain-deployments

Challenges we ran into

1. Uniswap math is absolutely crazy!
2. Many issues with contracts execution on RSK testnet.
3. Uniswap contracts are failing to verify on RSK explorer.
4. Without verified code very difficult to troubleshoot execution errors.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We can mint position and get a quote already!! Scope of work is clear!

What's next for Rootswap

1. Finish work on testnet.
2. Automate
3. Do work on Mainnet.
