Inspiration
The struggle individuals often face while retrieving personal data from institutions is a significant challenge. Long waits to receive medical records from a hospital or the painstaking process of securing past financial statements from a bank create unnecessary stress and delays. Moreover, sharing this information securely with another party adds another layer of complexity. These obstacles inspired the creation of UniSecure - a platform designed to streamline the data retrieval and sharing process, making it secure, efficient, and user-friendly.
What it does
UniSecure serves as a decentralized data sharing and verification platform built on the blockchain. It enables individuals to securely share their data with registered entities such as hospitals, banks, or legal institutions. The data transfer is encrypted using a multi-layered security mechanism ensuring both the individual's and the entity's private keys are required to access the information.
In the healthcare sector, for instance, a patient can use UniSecure to request their medical data from a hospital and share it with an insurance company. The hospital sends the encrypted data, which can only be decrypted using both the patient's and the insurance company's private keys. The insurance company, after decryption, verifies the authenticity of the received data against the hospital's public key, ensuring data integrity.
Not limited to healthcare, UniSecure's use cases span across banking (for example, sharing credit history with loan issuers), the legal sector (sharing legal documents between parties), and more. By providing a secure, efficient, and auditable data transfer mechanism, UniSecure paves the way for data-driven decision-making in businesses while ensuring individual privacy and data security.
