Inspiration

POSI aims to boost mental health outcomes, by making self-report surveys simpler to use.

What it does

Simplify the process of managing psychometrics in a professional setting. Our example includes the Big Five personality Inventory, which is a robust model serving as a benchmark for the platforms performance.

How we built it

We were expecting more theme or guidance, and didn't have any ideas at the outset. We brainstormed ideas, and settled on the psych evaluation tools that we went with. Team stuff...

We started with a trivial input form that created a JSON string from a few questions, and agreed that this was the right direction. We have primarily a front-end to submit, but put work into other areas...

Using this JSON for inspiration, we built a backend service to save and retrieve records of individual survey instances, although we didn't focus on completing it or incorporating it into the front end (as of 5pm on the final day). This backend had some validation in place, and is a great place to start for a proper service. It would also be a great place to start dispensing JWTs and using these to authorise a user to access their own survey. Administering patient surveys would be another step.

At the same time, we did slide decks and worked out how to present this in the best possible light.

Various team members were on slightly different tracks, and we were still iterating on the desired look and feel of our product, and had real life constraints (outside of the hackathon). While we made various contributions, we had one member mock up the front end as the clock was counting down, by drawing code snippets and conversations and everything together. This is the main piece that we are presenting.
