Inspiration
Our team is made up of seniors — who remember all too well how difficult the college application process was — and sophomores — who aren't ready for an ever-changing application system. We wanted to create a website that compiled all of the resources and information the internet has to offer, without making it overwhelming.
What it does
Provides information and resources for students on how to navigate the college application process step-by-step — from essays to financial aid.
How we built it
We used HTML and CSS, though we would've branched out into Javascript and Java, given the time.
Challenges we ran into
We had trouble with formatting, mostly, since we're pretty new to HTML/CSS.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were able to include unique features, like a navigation bar and shadows over elements that appear when hovered over.
What we learned
We became better at using replit to collaborate on the code, as well as honing our HTML/CSS skills.
What's next for UniGuidance
Creating a "profile" system that saves information about the user, like schools they want to go to.
