Inspiration

As an engineering student who wants to maximize their college experience, I designed this website to simplify the internship and research position opportunity search.

What it does

The website's usefulness is fully maximized when the user connects to their profiles on other job search tools. Then it uses the postings listed on all four sites and provides jobs that would be a good fit for the user. It also provides general academic and professional news about OSU, especially on campus.

How I built it

Beginning with this idea, I used Lovable to start a design and then over the course of a few hours I prompted Lovable to add the desired features and design.

Challenges we ran into

There was some misplacement of the features, such as the News being under the wrong tab, that were corrected.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I love the idea of being able to upload profiles because it saves so much time, especially as my professional profile grows.

What we learned

I learned that the AI tools that are available really demonstrate the power of computers and technology.

What's next for Unified Job Search

I believe that the next steps include getting APIs from Workday, Handshake, LinkedIn, and Indeed so that the users can directly log into their accounts from JobSync.
