🌟 Inspiration
University life is meant to be about learning, growth, and collaboration — yet many students feel isolated and disconnected from peers outside their own class or campus. We wanted to create a space where students from different universities could connect, collaborate, and build meaningful academic and professional relationships. That’s how UniConnect was born — a platform to bridge the communication gap within the university community.

UniConnect is a university networking app that allows students to:

🛠️ How we built it
We developed UniConnect using the FERN stack — FastAPI, Express.js, React, and Node.js, with Firebase Firestore for backend data management.
Frontend: React with responsive design and dynamic UI components.
Backend: FastAPI and Node.js APIs integrated with Firebase.
AI Module: Clustering algorithm for intelligent user-group matching.
Storage: Firebase for user data and media, with Supabase for image uploads.
