Inspiration
I finally found the product on a shopping site that I have been craving. But hold on, the journey to purchase it has only just begun. I find myself embarking on a digital scavenger hunt, hopping between websites, desperately seeking the lowest price and continuously checking for offers. As masters of online tabs, we juggle comparisons across several sites at once. It’s a thrilling (and frankly, exhausting) quest for savings. After a few rounds, though, it hits: the time spent hunting for discounts has stolen precious hours that you cannot get back. This frustration sparked an idea: what if there was a central hub, a digital oasis in the retail desert, where you could simply paste a product link and unearth the best deals from various stores? This made me create a tool to streamline the shopping experience and reclaim precious time.
What it does
Our platform serves as a centralized hub for online shoppers, offering a streamlined experience for comparing prices and accessing product information across multiple retailers through a single site. Users can simply paste a product link, and our tool retrieves data from various legitimate sites, including popular retailers like Amazon, Flipkart, Ajio, Myntra, and official brand websites. This not only saves users valuable time but also ensures they make informed purchasing decisions with ease.
How we built it
We created this app using cutting-edge technologies like electron js with react js and node js as the frontend and backend with typescript.

Using the puptteer library, I took screenshots of each website and tailored them for the Gemini. converting the response to a well-structured objects.

We gained insights into the complexities of navigating multiple websites to find the best deals, experiencing firsthand the time-consuming nature of this process.
Through this experience, we learned the importance of efficiency and convenience in the realm of e-commerce. We realized that there is a significant need for a centralized platform that simplifies the shopping experience, allowing users to save both time and money.
Moreover, this project provided us with a deeper understanding of the potential of technology to address real-world problems. We honed our skills in web scraping, data aggregation, and user interface design, laying the groundwork for future endeavors in creating innovative solutions.
What’s next for
Building upon our current success, our next plan is to enhance the accessibility and functionality of our platform. Firstly, we aim to expand the number of supported shopping sites beyond the initial five, ensuring comprehensive coverage across a wide range of retailers. This expansion will enable users to access pricing and product information from every legitimate site the product belongs to, further enhancing the utility of our platform.
Additionally, we are committed to promoting inclusivity by incorporating features that cater to individuals with disabilities. One key aspect of this initiative is the implementation of a voice feature, allowing users to interact with the platform using speech commands. This feature will enhance accessibility for individuals with visual impairments or motor disabilities, empowering them to navigate the platform with ease.
Furthermore, we plan to introduce additional features designed to simplify the shopping experience for all users. This includes implementing user-friendly interfaces and intuitive design elements to enhance usability across different devices and platforms. By prioritizing accessibility and user experience, we aim to create a platform that is truly inclusive and user-centric.
Through these enhancements, we are not only expanding the reach and functionality of our platform but also reaffirming our commitment to making online shopping more accessible and convenient for all individuals. Our vision is to create a digital oasis in the retail landscape, where users can effortlessly find the best deals and make informed purchasing decisions, regardless of their abilities or preferences.
