Inspiration

We figured many furniture, used books, and other items (often expensive and bulky) used by university students are often wasted without being recycled so we decided to make a social platform where people can trade, sell, and buy with each other through the main submission page and browse page. We feel like this kind of application is necessary to reduce waste and achieve sustainability.

What it does

It enables sellers to upload pictures and descriptions using Google drive and buyers to browse in the browse tap through the items people uploaded.

How we built it

Since our teammates were all beginners at coding, we used basic HTML and javascript and built it from scratch.

Challenges we ran into

We had lots of technological difficulties because we don’t have a lot of CS experience so we did lots of googling and researching to get through.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We made and published our website from scratch for the first time!

What we learned

We learned a ton about HTML and javascript, how to code with more efficiency.

What's next for Unibuy

After getting more coding and CS knowledge, we could make the website more advanced, and actually interactive, because some interactive aspects do not work quite yet.
