Dating apps are fun and a great way to meet your potential partner. But what if you are a little socially awkward? Or don't have the time to chat with 20 potential matches?

What it does

Unhinged takes a fun AI twist on your usual dating apps. Create your own AI persona in 10 minutes and let your AI persona vibe-check AI-personas of other users. Read the chat and choose if you vibe! The eventual goal is for you to meet your match, with less first conversations which take time and are awkward.

How we built it

As a solo developer I have many ideas but insufficient manpower, vibe-coding saved the day!

Challenges we ran into

There were challenges regarding prompts and the processing of the replies leading to bad replies.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am happy that the app that was once a dream is now a prototype! I came up with this idea in 2024 but never made it so I am happy it finally took shape.

What we learned

Sometimes you just got to give it a shot. Stop waiting and start trying.

What's next for Unhinged

New features like simulated dates for more juicy plot lines.
