Inspiration

We read an article about how overcrowded populations in popular tourist cites were slowly degrading natural wonders and environments. We also know that only a fraction of the global population ever gets the opportunity to witness the seven wonders of the world and numerous other breathtaking sites in person.

What it does

UNESCO VR offers users a captivating virtual reality experience, allowing them to explore and interact with some of the world's most renowned cultural and natural heritage sites. Users can choose between many different sites, as well as ask live questions about the site.

Tech Stack

  • C#: Implementation of various features and functionalities for an immersive virtual reality experience.

  • Microsoft Speech Object Library: Text-to-speech functionality is achieved using the Microsoft Speech Object Library, allowing the wonders to respond verbally to user interactions.

  • DictationRecognizer API: Utilizing the Unity Engine's DictationRecognizer API, users can input text via speech, enabling natural interactions with the wonders.

  • OpenAI LLM Integration: Our project integrates with OpenAI's Language Model to provide intelligent responses to user queries and prompts.

  • Unity Engine: The VR game environment is built using the Unity Engine, providing a seamless and immersive experience.

  • Meta Quest 3: The virtual experience is compatible with Meta Quest 3, ensuring smooth and responsive gameplay.

What's next for UNESCO VR
