Inspiration

We were inspired by the idea of exploration, and we felt that exploring the world giving the best idea of the project. Unfortunately, we had a lot of technical issues and couldn't get around to implementing our full idea.

What we would have done (there's a lot)

Ultimately, the goal of the game was to have a small, polished game. The idea was that you'd be an unemployed traveller, who set out to explore the world. You have a limited amount of money and you can choose different countries on a world map, each with their own unique facts and some lovely background music.

We intended it as a fun little 5 min adventure, and potentially even an educational aid for younger children. At the end of your adventure, when your money had run out, you have to write a LinkedIn post that you think will give you the best chance of getting hired. You'll also have to explain about your journey in the post as well.

Depending on how well the post did ( we implemented our own post rating algorithm) you would either be employed, and gain more money to explore the countries you haven't explored yet, or remain unemployed, and maybe have another shot at travelling.

What we learnt

The goal of a small, polished game unfortunately didn't come to fruition, but we all learned a lot from this, and I think that our main takeaway is that we should come prepared next time and know what software we're using, and make sure we already know how we collaborate as a team on Github.
