Created using an Arduino Yun microcontroller, Sony Playstation 4 Controller, web cam, USB shield and bluetooth dongle, the underwater rov can navigate through open waters while being controlled wirelessly from above. Only using three brushless motors as thrusters (two for horizontal movement and one for vertical movement), precision while moving in the water at various speeds is made easy. The vessel is watertight and the connecting wireless are waterproofed. The Yun receives all PS4 commands while simultaneously streaming live video to a web browser while located inside the pressurized vessel. The web cam can also take still shots via command line interface.

The next step would to be to create a web interface to stream and store images online. In addition, a manipulator robotic arm will be added to the front of the craft for retrieving deep sea items. The craft can easily be converted to autonomous capabilities while the Yun communicates with the brushless thrusters and the manipulator arm as well. The pressure vessel is rated to approximately 3000 PSI. So testing at greater depths will take place to improve its deep sea tracking capabilities. Although wireless control will be difficult to maintain at greater depths.
