How is the politically and geographically unique country responding to the crisis, and what can we learn from their response?

We hear a lot about what is happening in Europe, Asia, and North America.... but so far the situation and response in Russia has largely been left out of mainstream media. What is going on in this unique country, and how might understanding this help us in the crisis right now, as well as help us prepare for the future by providing a deeper understanding of how the crisis is creating opportunities for changes in future power and politics between countries?
