Inspiration

Wanting to be able to create an incentive to share musicians.

What it does

"Gameifys" the sharing of music of unknown artists that benefits the artists and the users of the website by creating a point system based off the sharing and time since the user shared the song or album.

How we built it

We created a static example using html and css, then used wordpress to make the website dynamic.

Challenges we ran into

The wordpress site crashed, implementing an algorithm to keep track of the time since user shared original post, creating a framework for each post.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

How much we were able to accomplish as a group with little background in website development.

What we learned

The basics of html and css and the in and outs of wordpress.

What's next for undersound

To learn how to implement the algorithm for keeping track of the time and creating a framework for each music post. This will all be implemented in the next version, including a reward system for accumulated points based off song sharing.
