Inspiration
As a participant in a hackathon, my team and I faced the challenge of solving a complex problem under a tight deadline. In order to work more efficiently and stay on top of my tasks, I required tools to assist me with research, documentation, organization, scheduling, and managing time zones across multiple locations. Although I was already using some apps, I discovered some lesser-known ones that made a big difference.
What it does
I recently discovered some great apps, tools, and links that helped me overcome many challenges in my day-to-day work. For example, I used the app ReadMe to improve my documentation writing for the GitHub README.md file, Answer The Public a web app to research current news trends for market research, as well as Preplexity.Ai, and Browser.Ai as a new way to research and do data scraping. One app Toggl and an When To Meet app even helped me manage my schedule across different time zones and locations, which can be tricky when having a total of 6 members in a team. Additionally, some of these tools are AI-powered and helped me with note-taking during meetings Fireflies.AI, time management, and presentations Tome. One specific app I found especially useful Fig.io for coding and operating the Bash terminal. With these tools at my disposal, I feel more confident in my work and can get more done in less time. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced coder, or a designer I highly recommend giving these powerful tools a try.
How we built it
I didn't create these tools myself, I was introduced to them by colleagues, friends, or simply by exploring on my own.
Challenges we ran into
In the process of solving the hackathon problem, I encountered additional challenges that needed to be addressed in order to complete the task at hand.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
By maintaining a professional and effective work environment, as well as clear and open communication among all team members, we were able to streamline our work experience and improve our productivity.
What we learned
Exploring new tools and resources is often necessary to solve problems efficiently in today's fast-paced work environment. The emergence of AI tools has introduced even more innovative solutions to help people work more effectively. While there are many popular options, it's important to explore lesser-known tools that can offer unique features and functionality. I discovered many such tools while working on a hackathon problem that presented several hurdles to overcome. The experience taught me the importance of being open to new solutions and staying up-to-date with the latest tools and resources.
What's next for Under the radar tools
Exploring new tools and resources is often necessary when trying to tackle a specific problem. It's exciting to think about the possibilities that arise when using innovative solutions to overcome obstacles. I'm looking forward to discovering even more tools and taking on the next challenge.
