Inspiration

Neurology has always been a topic interesting to us. We wanted to build a project that would help us learn not only more about coding, but also more about the brain. Due to the fact that the brain is so complex, we had a lot of options to choose from when deciding what contents we wanted the website to hold!

What it does

Our informative website has a picture of the brain with tabs that contain information about each part. This allows users to learn about the different sections of the brain in an easy and organized way.

How we built it

We built this website using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create a homepage with links to other pages that go into more detail about the corresponding section of the brain.

Challenges we ran into

At first, we had trouble with brainstorming (pun intended) ideas for our website. We knew we wanted our topic to be neurology, but we didn't know how we would connect that to coding. We also ran into problems with figuring out how to then execute our idea with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript given that we did not have much experience. We quickly overcame this challenge by taking time apart to learn about HTML and then regrouping to work towards our goal.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of how well we were able to communicate and work with each other. We are putting in a lot of work into this project, and we take pride in our informational website!

What we learned

This project took us out of our comfort zones and pushed us to learn more about HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. We also learned more information about the brain when doing research for the website's content!

What's next for Neurology: Functions of the Brain

We hope to further develop this website as we learn more about coding. We want to add new features such as interactive and educational games, a place to connect and interact with neurologists, and a constantly updating page that fills users in on new discoveries made on the brain!
